Grind is a project that delves into the dynamic relationship between skate culture and streetwear, highlighting their evolution over time. Created by Jamil, a Chicago-based Graphic Designer with a journey beginning in 2017, the project embodies a deep appreciation for contemporary streetwear culture. Inspired by Kanye West's Yeezy campaign and honed through experiences at Illinois State and DePaul University, Jamil's work combines historical insight with modern aesthetics. The project features the physical printing of three unique t-shirt designs and a series of marketing stickers, culminating in a fashion "lookbook" that celebrates the vibrant spirit and rich heritage of streetwear.
